Managing Incident Safety

Course Overview

When faced with an incident that could present a threat to life, property or the environment, responders must demonstrate competence when operating as a safety officer.

This course offers delegates the opportunity to fully understand the role of a Safety Officer and will allow them to demonstrate a rationale for making safe decisions when applying a safety management system at any incident and in support of the Incident Commander.

Hazmat incidents and the increase in electric vehicle fires are proving to be a significant challenge to first responder agencies.

Consequently, the course includes two supplementary modules for delegates to develop knowledge, skills and confidence in how to safely deal with the initial response of any incident involving hazardous materials and electric vehicle fires.
