Course Overview

The crew commander plays a crucial role in aviation firefighting, serving as the first line of command and compliance within the regulatory framework. However, the existing training offerings for this position lack an accredited qualification, which is essential for meeting industry standards.

While some courses address the responsibilities of local authority level 1 incident commanders, they fail to address the unique command issues specific to aviation incidents. These courses do not fulfil the regulatory requirements mandated by the relevant authorities. As a result, there is a clear need to develop a course specifically designed to bridge this gap and address the regulatory shortfall.

After extensive discussions with our client base and a thorough analysis of industry requirements, we have developed an updated and immersive crew commander course. This course has been carefully crafted to fully meet the regulatory requirements set by the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA).

The primary objective of this course is to equip candidates with the essential skills and knowledge needed to lead a first response to aviation-related emergencies. Furthermore, it aims to provide participants with the necessary competencies to seamlessly integrate into the broader incident management team

Our course is delivered by a team of highly experienced aviation RFFS experts who possess a wealth of knowledge and expertise in this field. They utilize a combination of engaging teaching methods, including real-life case studies, immersive simulations, and informative presentations.

By completing this course, aspiring crew commanders and those already in the role will gain a solid foundation of knowledge while obtaining an accredited qualification. This ensures that they are well-prepared to handle the challenges associated with aviation firefighting and contribute effectively to incident management teams.
