Course Overview

The course aims to develop the skills and knowledge for Incident Managers, through examining current best practice, including guidance and legislation, as well as evaluating key incident management principles, such as: situational awareness, joint decision-making and the need to record key decisions.

Delegates will develop their ability to explain and utilise both dynamic and analytical risk assessments.

This is an all-round outstanding course for developing management and leadership skills and covers in detail, the JESIP principles and National Occupational Guidance.

Assessments and wider discussions are relative to the level of course attendees; Level 2 elements cover a wider context of management and leadership development, with incident issues and situations explored in-depth and with greater detail to test the principles of leadership and management and how these viewpoints are applied at a more senior level.
