The Fire Investigation course has been specifically created to give personnel from all Fire and Rescue based services the ability to carry out an analysis following an incident involving fire and instil the building blocks of fire investigation.
This course will offer delegates the opportunity to understand how to examine the origin and the cause of a fire related incident. This can include identifying product faults as well as recognising arson or an attempt to maliciously start fire.
Delegates will also develop their knowledge of how to use their fire investigation skills to determine the possible sources of ignition and evaluate the circumstances which brought the ingredients of fire together, with the aim of ultimately improving public and firefighter safety.
Over the duration of the course delegates will cover the responsibilities of the Fire Investigator, interpreting damage caused by fire and smoke, theoretical and simulated methods of fire investigation and how to accurately record incident information.
